1.限幅
這是CS3最基本的作用，按照說明書的說法，將Sustain調(diào)節(jié)到比較低的水平，CS3將起到單純的限幅作用。保證你的聲音通過CS3以后受到限制，不會(huì)由于信號過大而使聲音變形或損壞后面的音箱等等的設(shè)備。
2.讓聲音整齊

其實(shí)這是第2個(gè)作用的一個(gè)具體運(yùn)用。我并不會(huì)點(diǎn)弦，但是我知道有的朋友喜歡在自己的solo中用到點(diǎn)弦這種技巧，讓自己的演奏變得豐富多彩。可是由于點(diǎn)現(xiàn)實(shí)的信號過弱，所以如果再干琴中用到點(diǎn)弦，它的聲音會(huì)比撥弦的音量小得多，所以一般只是在失真以后才運(yùn)用到點(diǎn)弦。（除非你的演奏像Stanley Jordan那樣根本不用撥弦，全是點(diǎn)弦）但是有了cs3就不一樣了，它會(huì)提升你的點(diǎn)弦時(shí)候的信號，讓他出來的聲音和撥弦時(shí)的音量大小差不多！這樣，點(diǎn)弦的技巧也可以用在干琴的演奏中了
4.拾音器模擬
大家都知道吉他拾音器分為Single-Coil（單條拾音器）和Humbucker（雙拾音器）由于構(gòu)造的不同，造成兩種拾音器的聲音差異巨大。單條拾音器聲音音頭強(qiáng)烈，延音較短，聲音有彈性，比較干。而雙拾音器音頭相對較弱，延音豐富，聲音柔和，有韌性。而CS3恰恰可以調(diào)節(jié)音頭和延音！
